The purposes of NJBIC shall be to apply the “Black Leadership Family Plan” as relevant via a structured network of predominantly African-American statewide organizations; and work in unison with local, state, and national agencies to advocate for health, education, economic development, social, job placement, career orientation, and criminal justice needs.

The objectives of NJBIC shall be to:

  • Discuss critical issues affecting the quality of life in the African-American community;

  • Provide and promote a regular exchange of information among member organizations and interested organizations statewide;

  • Create opportunities and offer resources and solutions to meet the changing needs of African-American communities; and

  • Develop and implement an action plan that will positively impact policies and practices beneficial to the community it serves.
