General

The general membership of NJBIC shall be comprised of organizations whose membership is sufficiently diverse with African-Americans; and which maintain two (2) or more local affiliates located in two (2) or more counties of the State, or a statewide perspective and program of action accruing to the benefit of African-Americans throughout the state, as determined by the NJBIC Board of Directors.  General member-organizations can vote and hold elective office.

Special

By special resolution of the Board of Directors, an individual may have bestowed upon him or her, the designation of Honorary, Emeritus or Founding Member or Chair.  Such designation shall be as a non-voting member of NJBIC and may be displayed on literature and letterhead.

Affiliate

Affiliate members are non-profit organizations that are issue-oriented with a strong interest in advancing NJBICs mission, objectives and goals.  They are committed to promoting the development and deployment of strategies and services to promote positive change in the community.  Affiliate members cannot vote or hold elective office.

Associate

Associate membership is open to all public and professional associations, companies, organizations and institutions that subscribe to or support the goals and objectives of NJBIC.  Associate members cannot vote or hold elective office.
